Our therapists are highly trained in a diverse range of effective and safe soft tissue and joint mobilisation techniques for both spinal and peripheral complaints. We regularly attend professional development courses to ensure we are using the most up to date and clinically effective methods.
Acupuncture & Dry needling
All of our practitioners are trained in the use of either traditional or western Acupuncture. The use of needling compliments the effects of other manual therapy techniques in order to maximise the results and outcomes.
Orthopaedic and Neurological Rehabilitation
We are able to manage both Orthopaedic and Neurological rehabilitation in acute and chronic settings. The clinic liaises with specialist doctors and surgeons and has an extensive database of practitioners around Australia. We are able to provide the most up to date treatment protocols for post operative conditions.
Exercise prescription & Clinical Pilates
An important part of our management is prescribing appropriate exercises to assist in both the management of the presenting condition as well as preventing future recurrences. We are also able to devise exercise programs that assist in injury prevention and optimising performance in sporting activities. An effective adjunct to exercise is Clinical Pilates and we offer one-one sessions or small group sessions encorpating mat and equipment Pilates.
Screening is an important tool used in identifying risks in a sporting and industrial situation. It identifies areas that need to be focussed on in order to reduce the risk of injuries occurring and enhance performance. We are able to perform specific screenings as required by individual orginisations but are also registered in the use of One Percent change format (evidence based screening tool).
Radial Shockwave Therapy
Kingscliff Beach Physiotherapy is very pleased to offer our clients with the opportunity to receive radial shockwave therapy (RSWT) as one of the many treatments available. RSWT uses acoustic shockwaves to stimulate the healing process and stimulate tissue repair. Research has shown it is effective in managing many chronic musculoskeletal conditions including Plantar fasciitis, Achilles Tendinopathy, Calcification of the rotator cuff, Tennis elbow and Gluteal Tendinopathy.
If you are unable to attend our clinic we are able to offer home visits where one of our qualified Physiotherapists will come to you. Please contact our clinic for further information.
